We're serious at DigiTar™ about making sure WebProtectMe™ protects your browsing privacy. That's why our SafeArmor™ encryption feature (that prevents folks from snooping on your browsing traffic) is on by default (Safe Browser 1.10.10+), and prevents third parties from impersonating WebProtectMe™ filtering servers.
But we understand that sometimes your school, workplace or ISP requires you to allow them to read your encrypted traffic in order to use their Internet.
If you need to allow third parties to read your browsing traffic, you can disable strong privacy. SafeArmor™ will still encrypt your browsing but will allow trusted third parties to pretend to be the WebProtectMe™ servers and intercept the contents. A "trusted third party" is anyone whose SSL/TLS certificates are trusted by iOS on your device.
We recommend you do not disable strong privacy if at all possible. That being said, if you need to, here's how:
- In Safe Browser open the side-menu and tap Settings.
- Tap the Protection tab (you will be prompted for your WebProtectMe™ account password).
- Change the Enforce Strong Privacy toggle to off (green means "on") then tap Done.
